Hello! My name is Kirsten and I live
on the Gold Coast of Australia with my handsome Husband, our two
gorgeous boys and our beautiful little girl . I am a daughter, wife, mother, ex-pat, Tupperware
lady, referee, chef, domestic goddess and taxi driver. I love to
bake and am never far from a piece of chocolate.
In April of 2014 my world was
rocked with the devastating news that our much wanted and loved third
child no longer had a heartbeat. On April 4th Annabelle Grace was born
sleeping at 20 weeks gestation.
From this moment I felt it was my job
to share my journey with the rest of the world. Unfortunately even
in 2014 stillbirth and miscarriage are considered taboo which I find
ridiculous. These are our babies regardless of how long they were
with us and they deserve to have a voice and above all else be
remembered.
I hope that by sharing my journey and
all the emotions connected to this roller coaster ride I will help
break down the wall of silence surrounding stillbirth and help the
millions of other women around the world who have suffered pregnancy
loss know they are not alone.
Please join me on my journey of life
after stillbirth. This blog will probably make you cry but I also
promise you will laugh. I don't know what the future has in store
for myself or my family but I do know that I am happy to share
whatever it is with whoever wants to listen.
